Ancestry is looking for a Media Director to lead our International Media team, reporting to the VP International Marketing, on a 12-month fixed term contract basis. The International Media team supports our in-country marketing teams and their agencies to get the best out of their media investments, and collaborates with other functions (onsite, analytics, MarTech) to deliver a best-in-class acquisition programme.
What you will do:
Execute on the 2023 strategy, managing the delivery of all projects in agreed initiatives including the MarTech roadmap.
Lead your team in operating as a Centre of Excellence for strategic media planning within the International business; partnering with local teams and agencies on the development of robust, holistic omni-channel plans based on insightful data, testing and results
Budget reporting, analysis and management to maximise return on investment
Manage relationships with partnership agencies, continuously developing their understanding of our customers and business goals and ensuring they deliver on agreed scope
Provide reporting and educational forums to stakeholders so they have a clear understanding of the strategy, results, insights and next steps
MarComms lead for quarterly planning and prioritisation
Lead the partnerships with important media partners and technology vendors
Who you are:
Passionate, positive and provocative media practitioner with 5+ years' experience delivering media strategies and campaigns for multiple brands (preferably in the ecommerce world)
Experience across the full digital spectrum, with expertise across SEM, Programmatic, Paid Social & SEO
Experience with data analysis and optimisation with a solid understanding of technology and data infrastructure
Proven experience of agency portfolio management
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across locations and time zones
Strong influencing skills including negotiating with internal and external stakeholders
Broad knowledge of ATL media planning including TV
This is a 12-month fixed term Ancestry contract, offering full employee benefits including 25 days paid leave (pro-rata), health insurance from day 1, bonus, pension and more. Occasional attendance in our London office would be expected, but our working location policy is fully flexible.
