Ancestry is looking for a Product Manager to build creative experiences through our Ancestry mobile app. You will help improve the vision and development of our mobile discovery feed and stories experience across our suite of mobile apps. The feed is designed to deliver content by our 30+ billion records and 20+ million DNA network. You will work with passionate, teams across research, engineering, design, marketing and customer service to provide amazing user experiences.

As a senior member of the Product team, we ask that you are passionate about mobile and energized by working with smart, fun-loving, execution-focused teammates in a interactive environment. You will lead by identifying product opportunities, creating a vision and roadmap, validating that vision through rapid prototyping, measuring effectiveness, and partnering across the organization to bring your vision to market.

What You'll Do!

  • Work with research, user experience, engineering, marketing, customer support, and legal teams to deliver products and features that help individuals better understand their past
  • Guide product improvements and inform the product roadmap with new ideas based on ongoing customer research, market/competitive analysis, and product performance indicators
  • Create user stories and other required input and direction to the Scrum team; manage the backlog and keep the team engaged building the highest priority features and enhancements
  • Establish essential milestones and targets for the Ancestry app, and drive the successful execution needed to hit these targets
  • Develop the vision for your product, short-term and long-term
  • Partner with data science, product analytics and customer research to gain insight into your customers and to enable next-generation personalization of the user experience
  • Juggle tradeoffs and understand constraints, finding thoughtful solutions to complex problems
  • Partner with teams across departments to achieve customer value on a rapid and regular rhythm; adapt quickly from quantitative and qualitative feedback; iterate approach with urgency based on insights of importance))

Who You Are!

  • 3+ years of product management experience with experience shipping great products.
  • Experience delivering high-quality iOS or Android products
  • Experience with mobile technologies and the process of releasing and updating apps through iTunes Connect or Google Play
  • Smart, creative, inspired, and experienced leading a cross-functional team to deliver great products quickly
  • Establish a vision / goals and influence others
  • Presentation techniques, meeting management, and team building skills
  • Work well with individuals at all levels and across departments
  • Excellent research and data analysis skills combined with an obsession for making data-based decisions
  • Experience with survey design and multiple primary customer research techniques
  • Bachelor's degree; STEM / computer science background a huge plus
