Ancestry seeks a product leader to join our Commerce team to own and evolve the back-end capabilities powering the purchase experiences for the variety of Ancestry Family History subscription and DNA products.  This person will drive technical processes and customer experiences through strong communication, collaboration and through orchestration of ongoing A/B testing to deliver world-class Commerce experiences.

As a member of the Product team, you are passionate about our customers, fascinated by data, and insatiably compelled to build products that delight and engage.  Our product managers lead through understanding opportunities, communicating the vision, validating that vision through rapid prototyping and user research.  As a part of a scrum team, you’ll partner with engineering and quality assurance teammates through agile practices and ceremonies.

What you'll do...

  • Play a lead role in an agile scrum team defining the why behind development and QA activities.
  • Lead cross-team execution activities in building new features as well as optimizing existing functionality.
  • Define, track, and communicate clear success criteria.
  • Partner with Design and UX Research to build and optimize the customer purchase experiences.
  • Build good relationships and alignment with teams including Design, UX Research, Engineering, Marketing and Commercialization, Legal, Product Analytics, and Finance.
  • Reports to Director of Product Manager, Commerce

Who you are...

  • 2-5 years’ experience building and shipping interactive consumer focused products.
  • Proficient in agile product development methodologies.
  • Experienced in multivariate testing.
  • Creative, driven and have experience navigating through ambiguity.
  • Strong verbal and written communicator
  • Self-starter and able to work well with individuals at all levels.
  • A naturally curious person who uses quantitative and analytical skills to drive decision making.
  • Action oriented and organized.
  • Problem Solver
