Ancestry is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Cloud Operations Container Service Team. As a member of this team, you will be highly involved in designing, developing, debugging and troubleshooting Ancestry’s container services, working closely with Ancestry’s development team, and contributing proactively to the next phase of Ancestry’s containerization strategy.
This is a fast-paced, dynamic environment and the ideal candidate should have the initiative to investigate and drive issues to completion. Must be flexible and work well with others, even when perspectives differ. While the work is mentally challenging, you will be part of a team of strong, collaborative developers working in a flexible environment.
What You Will Do:
-Develop, debug and troubleshoot Ancestry’s container services
-Work closely with development teams
-Contribute proactively to the next phase of Ancesty’s containerization strategy
Who You Are:
-Experience with developing infrastructure tools using industry standards and processes
-Experience with AWS preferred or any cloud providers
-Experience with Prometheus
-Experience with Fargate and Docker
-Experience with GO
-Experience Kubernetes, Bash, and Python
-Linux technologies experience
Nice to Have:
-Experience with GitOps
