Ancestry is looking for an enthusiastic Supply Chain Analyst to join the AncestryDNA Analytics team, and provide actionable insights on a range of potential analyses ranging across end-to-end supply chain and its impact with product, marketing and financial considerations. This newly-created role presents a great opportunity to work in an exciting and dynamic area with huge opportunities for learning and growth as you support the expansion of our international DNA offering. 


Working closely with members of DNA operations, Hardgoods engineering, Product and Program management, you will be responsible for building and maintaining business reporting, performing ad-hoc analysis utilizing cross functional datasets, and presenting information/recommendations to management. You will be the primary point of contact for the International DNA Supply Chain business, tasked with unleashing the insights hidden within the data and explaining its relevance to non-technical business partners in a way that is actionable and comprehensible to them. What you will do:

  • Identify critical business problems within the supply chain and translate into technical analyses
  • Work closely with global stakeholders to understand requirements, specify and implement data quality metrics, and perform statistical analyses
  • Visualize data in an intuitive and actionable way, presenting compelling, fact-based test reports, dashboards and analyses that explain the business “story” behind the data, detailing what happened and why
  • Use your technical expertise to access and understand information from various data sources
  • Build predictive models that help leadership to gauge the impacts of the supply chain.
  • Keep cross-functional teams informed of progress and developments through proactive updates and reports
  • Keep a constant and proactive eye out for potential improvements in analytics & supply chain processes, data quality and data sources/tools

Who you are:

  • Undergrad degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Business Analytics or similar
  • 2+ years' professional experience analysing very large datasets using SQL, ETL and Tableau, writing optimised queries and creating visualisations
  • Strong Excel skills (advanced formulas, pivot tables, modeling) Math & Statistical knowledge
  • Self-driven individual, able to work in a fast-paced environment and comfortable dealing with change
  • Able to work collaboratively with both internal and external implementation teams
  • Experience with BI Engineering, and data pipelines

This is a full time, permanent role with full benefits, including 25 days paid time off, annual bonus, stock and health insurance. Occasional attendance in our Dublin office would be expected, but our working location policy is fully flexible.
