Ancestry is seeking an Supply Chain Analyst with the AncestryDNA Analytics team. This team provides analytical support to different teams within the DNA org including operations, hardgoods engineering, design, and optimization’s program and product management. This role will report to Supply Chain Analytics Manager, and will be responsible for building and maintaining business reporting, performing ad-hoc analysis utilizing cross functional datasets, and presenting information/recommendations to management.

Additionally, this team works with cross functional Engineering, Marketing and Product Analytics teams to support business growth for DNA. This will be a data intensive role that requires a strong analytical and technical skill set, along with a strategic mindset. It will also be important to be able to communicate clearly via verbal presentation as well as visualization/reporting.

What You Will Do:

  • Understand business, operations and analytics requirements for data from a multitude of sources
  • Identify KPIs and collaborate with the team to develop reporting
  • Specify and implement data quality metrics, perform statistical analyses
  • Develop and maintain reports using SQL
  • Visualize data in an intuitive and actionable way
  • Ability to use complex data systems and mine data sources to identify insights
  • Independently identify, quantify, and solve problems
  • Keep cross-functional teams informed of progress and developments through proactive updates and reports
  • Build predictive models that help leadership to gauge the impacts of the supply chain

Who You Are:

  • BS required – Information Systems, Business Analytics or similar
  • Well versed with SQL, ETL and Tableau
  • Understand databases well, efficient in writing optimized queries and creating visualizations
  • Strong Excel skills (advanced formulas, pivot tables, modeling)Math & Statistical knowledge
  • Self-driven individual, able to work in a competitive and fast-paced environment
  • Collaborate with partner teams to work collaboratively with both internal and external implementation teams
  • Experience in an internet, technology, and/or hard goods business
  • 2+ years of workplace experience with SQL, ETL and Tableau
  • Experience with BI Engineering, and data pipelines
