We want to inform you of an important update regarding our upcoming HistoryMakers event. Governor DeSantis has issued an executive order declaring a state of emergency for 35 counties in Florida, including Miami-Dade, due to recent developments.

In light of this, and out of deep concern for the safety and well-being of students, staff, and Ancestry employees, we will be making slight adjustments to the event. While the event will still proceed as planned, we will be modifying the schedule and rescheduling all interviews to occur virtually at a date to be communicated in the coming week.

HISTORYMAKERS MIXER
Our campus team will host a casual mixer for members of FIU clubs and organizations on Friday, October 4 from 5-8 PM at the Faculty Club in Graham Center.

INTERVIEW SESSION

Ancestry HistoryMakers Scholarship

At Ancestry, we have a long-term commitment to enhancing education and empowering the next generation of history makers. This is why we’re proud to sponsor the 2024 HistoryMakers Scholarship Fund. Six $2,500 scholarships will be awarded to FIU students!

To qualify, students must be a full-time undergraduate or graduate enrolled at one of our partner schools and have demonstrated leadership through participation in community service, extracurricular, or other activities.

Scholarship applications open in August and the submission deadline is October 25, 2024.
