Our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Goals

Innovation thrives when there are diverse voices, perspectives, and backgrounds at the table.  We are building a product for a globally diverse community, and that calls for a workforce that reflects those we seek to serve.  Our workforce goals help ensure we can build an Ancestry experience for all. 

These goals are not about arbitrary quotas. These goals help us make meaningful progress to build a global workforce that can create an Ancestry experience for all people—regardless of race, ethnicity, or heritage.

Ancestry's Directors and above

Pay parity continues to be maintained across gender and ethnicity. Each year, we conduct compensation fairness analyses and consistently review all promotion rates by gender and ethnicity.

Ancestry Employee Resource Groups

Our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are voluntary, employee-led groups that help foster a more inclusive culture at Ancestry. Our seven ERGs provide a safe space for employees to discuss a wide range of topics, share their experiences, and partner with teams across the company to inform inclusive business initiatives.

With events like brown bag sessions, quarterly speaker series, and semi-annual service projects, Ancestry Women in Technology (AWIT) is creating a global network for the Ancestry workforce and promoting a culture of empowerment.

APAC empowers Asian employees and our allies at Ancestry. Through education and awareness, we embrace our diverse lived experiences, backgrounds, and identities to build an inclusive and supportive environment.

Black Roots mission is to champion Black employees and customers to enhance Ancestry's business through recruitment, employee engagement, community partnership, and customer experience.

Honor's mission is to foster a community of support, hiring, and training for those who have served or are currently serving in the military, by creating an inclusive work environment that recognizes and fully utilizes the value of veterans.

The Pride mission is to foster the story of LGBTQIA+ employees and allies by creating an inclusive and supportive work environment where we can give everyone a greater sense of identity, relatedness, and place in the world.

Somos advocates for the Latin American community, enhancing Ancestry by championing these employees and customers through education, community building, recruitment, and optimization of the customer experience.
