Ancestry.com has an amazing opportunity for a self-motivated Financial Planning & Analysis, Manager/Analyst.  This highly visible position will report to the Senior Director of FP&A and will be responsible for leading key financial/business performance reporting processes, including financial assessments, monthly and quarterly business reviews, presentation material for Senior Leadership and Board of Directors, monthly forecasts, annual operating plan development, and other related responsibilities. This financial leader will also have demonstrated leadership skills and excellent business partnering skills.

What you will do...

  • Responsible for providing financial forecasting and analysis that is necessary to drive growth and operational efficiencies including; month end processing, management review of budget vs. actual results and trend analysis;

  • Coordinate and complete the financial planning process, inclusive of annual budgets, forecasts and long term plans; 

  • Work with senior management team and department managers to develop and build plans; 

  • Contribute to Total Company consolidated reporting and presentation material for Senior Leadership Team (SLT);

  • Coordinate with the Accounting department to ensure seamless close process and alignment between Actuals and Forecast for FP&A;

  • Forecast aspects of the income statement and full balance sheet and statement of cash flows;

  • Maintain and develop standard business metrics for analyzing business performance; 

  • Maintain existing and develop new management information reports that report key metrics and communicate trends to appropriate management;

  • Maintain and improve planning tools and processes; 

  • Analyze and track strategic initiatives, including development of supporting models and expected outcomes; 

  • Report actual results versus plan, including variance analysis.

 

Who you are...

  • BS in Finance, a MBA preferred (with equivalent Planning experience); 

  • 5+ years of progressive relevant experience;

  • Strong business partnering skills and holistic view of business strategy, processes and financial objectives;

  • Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, pivots tables, basic report writing skills;

  • Strong analytical abilities with sharp attention to detail a must; 

  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fun, fast-paced environment; 

  • TM1 and Oracle Financials proficiency is a plus

  • Excellent analytical skills, the ability to perform complex financial analyses and modeling.

  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate and deal effectively with all levels of an organization.

As a signatory of the ParityPledge in Support of Women and the ParityPledge in Support of People of Color, Ancestry values pay transparency and pay equity.  We are pleased to share the base salary range for this position: $105,030 - $119,970 with eligibility for bonus, equity and comprehensive benefits including health, dental and vision.
