Ancestry is looking for a Senior Director, People to be a strategic leader and consultant to drive success across the employee lifecycle. You will help develop our talent strategies, plans, and programs, with an emphasis on building leadership capability, talent management rhythms, inclusive practices and teams.

Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will be an essential part of the People and Places team to create a purpose driven, high performance culture. Focusing on the People Partner (internal consultants) and Talent Management functions, you will be responsible for engaging and retaining great talent across the globe using effective and scalable solutions. You will bring a passion to promote outcomes that allow our employees and business to succeed.

What you will do...

  • Work with business leaders and peers within the People & Places organization to guide strategic, creative solutions that empower our people to do their best work for our customers.

  • Be a trusted and credible advisor on people, organizational, and other complex issues.

  • Lead a global team of People Partners to evolve the management capability of the leaders they support.

  • Partner with the Head of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion to implement people-related Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging strategies for feedback and performance management, employee engagement, and retention.

  • Bring sound judgment in employee relations, employee and manager coaching, performance management, talent programs, and building diverse teams and inclusive environments.

  • Look for opportunities to refine and utilize HR data to improve delivery and understanding of core HR processes and influence results.

  • Collaborate with COE teams to support an integrated approach to talent management.

  • Act as strategic advisor to the senior leadership team.

Who you are...

  • Experienced leader who possesses a commercial mindset with a track record of driving impact to the business, rather than HR for HR sake

  • Analytical and proficient in business intelligence/data insights and talent management platforms (e.g., Lattice, Workday, etc.)

  • Strong business acumen, consulting, critical thinking and influencing skills

  • Strategic mindset with hands on experience implementing and scaling talent management systems and programs

  • Knowledgeable in leading and sustaining change, and using tools and metrics to measure success

  • Comfortable working in a complex, hybrid environment with a globally distributed employee base.

  • The ideal candidate will have a track record of building and implementing successful Talent Development programs that increase employee engagement and retention (preferably in a high tech or consumer products environment

As a signatory of the ParityPledge in Support of Women and the ParityPledge in Support of People of Color, Ancestry values pay transparency and pay equity.  We are pleased to share the base salary range for this position: $200,790 - $229,410 with eligibility for bonus, equity and comprehensive benefits including health, dental and vision.
