We are looking for a Media Director to lead our International Media team. You will report to the VP International Marketing, on a 12-month fixed term contract basis . You will support our in-country marketing teams to get the best out of their media investments through thorough data reporting and analysis, and collaborate with other functions across the business such as Affiliates, Retail and SEO to deliver best in class strategy and growth. You will use your commercial & data driven expertise to interpret business goals, and execute Ancestry’s paid, earned and owned media strategy across all markets outside of the US.
This is a hybrid role as attendance at regular meetings in London is essential.
What you will do
You will operate as a Centre of Excellence for strategic media planning within the International organisation; partnering with internal teams and agencies on the development of robust, holistic omni-channel plans based on insightful data, testing and results
You will be responsible for budget planning, reporting and analysis to maximise business impact of multi-channel media activity (paid and organic), including interpreting MMM reporting and applying learnings
You will manage relationships with partner agencies, continuously developing their understanding of our customers and business goals and ensuring they deliver on the agreed scope
You will provide reporting and educational forums to stakeholders so they have a clear understanding of the strategy, results, insights and next steps. This will include driving initiatives with our agency partners to deliver best in class data set up and reporting to drive business and media decisions
You will lead partnerships with media and technology vendors, including evaluation of partners and management of reporting tools and dashboards
You will be the media data lead within the INTL team, leaning on internal and external data sources to build insights and drive strategic projects
Who you are
You have 10+ years experience, including experience outside the UK market
You are a passionate, positive and provocative media practitioner with solid experience delivering media strategies for multiple brands
You have experience across the full digital spectrum, with expertise across paid and earned channels including Search, Social, Affiliates and SEO
You're an expert in data analysis, reporting and optimisation, with a strong understanding of technology and data infrastructure
You have proven experience of agency portfolio management
Broad knowledge of ATL media including TV a plus
