Ancestry is looking to add an experienced, strategic and data driven Marketing leader to our International Marketing team with strong commercial acumen. This pivotal role will lead our global marketing strategy and execution, brand growth and customer acquisition for the United Kingdom, Australian and Canadian markets. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic category, for a purposeful brand and playing a key leadership role within the International business.

What you will do…

Strategic Leadership & Planning

  • Develop and own the marketing strategy and execution for UK, CA & AU by leading local market teams 

  • Align plans and activity with International business goals to deliver customer and revenue growth 

  • Manage the marketing budgets planning to maximise growth and profitability 

  • Be Consumer and Product obsessed to ensure all marketing initiatives are grounded in customer needs and understanding

  • Leverage data to understand regional customers, market and product trends to drive planning, identifying opportunities and informing product enhancements 

Brand Building and Customer Acquisition

  • Strong thought leader; harnessing experience, insights, creativity, vision and storytelling to continue to grow our incredible brand

  • Drive teams to deliver best in class multi-channel marketing campaigns to drive awareness, product familiarity and conversion  

  • Overseeing and influencing the strategy development to ensure local relevancy and global brand consistency

  • Drive brand leadership initiatives including programming, community engagement and partnerships

Media Planning Leadership

  • Provide thought leadership on full funnel planning approaches and how best to fuse with data

  • Media Agency relationship management and effectiveness

  • Drive a media effectiveness and efficiency culture; partnering with internal and external partners to ensure strategy and measurement are aligned  and optimised

  • Champion testing approaches to ensure we are looking across channel mix, creative mix and customer engagement stages

Team & Stakeholder Leadership

  • Develop and inspire brilliant local marketing teams

  • Build relationships with key stakeholders in US and Global teams; acting a key liaison to ensure knowledge sharing

  • Exceptional stakeholder management & storytelling to educate on the success and learning from the local teams

  • Set clear direction and OKRs for teams laddering to international goals

Who you are…

  • 10+ years marketing experience

  • Direct-To-Consumer E-commerce background; working across a portfolio of products; with Subscription business experience preferred

  • Experience of managing regional or multiple markets with significant media budgets

  • Marketing budget management & experience across the entire marketing mix

  • Strong media and creative agency management background

  • P&L responsibility experience

  • Experience of leading effectively in an international business environment

  • Excellent analytical skills and a data-driven mindset
