The Marketing Manager, SEO role is responsible for bringing new customers to Ancestry through natural search. You will be responsible for driving SEO traffic across our global portfolio of websites under the guidance of the SEO Director. We are looking for well-rounded experience in both technical SEO and content marketing, plus the ability to communicate SEO needs to internal and external partners.

What You'll Do:

  • Help drive the SEO content strategy through keyword research and data-driven testing

  • Draw insights from multiple data sources and communicate those findings with partners

  • Drive product initiatives that increase SEO growth at scale by translating business objectives into technical requirements

  • Identify new SEO industry trends that could impact Ancestry websites and communicate those trends to the relevant partners

  • Increase Ancestry’s international footprint through localized approaches to SEO in a growing number of countries

  • Help coordinate reporting and auditing that is leveraged for prioritizing SEO improvements

Who You Are:

  • 3+ years of enterprise SEO experience for medium to large websites

  • Experience with all aspects of SEO, including content marketing, technical SEO, and off-page optimization

  • Familiar with a variety of web technologies, including enterprise CMS tools, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, page rendering solutions, and Core Web Vitals

  • Experience with standard SEO analytics and tools, including Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, seoClarity, Conductor, BrightEdge, Searchmetrics, Google Data Studio, and Similarweb

  • Comfortable working on large websites with millions of pages that require scalable approaches to SEO performance

We are pleased to share the base salary range for this position: $89,370 - $123,930 with eligibility for bonus, equity and comprehensive benefits including health, dental and vision.
