Ancestry is looking for a Staff Product Manager to drive cross-platform strategy and execution for our “Digitize and Preserve” initiative. Ancestry is the world’s leading platform for researching your family history, leveraging 45B+ historical records to uncover the specifics of your ancestors and their lives, dating back hundreds of years. We are looking to expand this core value proposition - by enabling our users to digitize their own family’s historical photos, documents, heirlooms, and stories - alongside what they discover on the platform - such that these artifacts are forever preserved in our collections alongside the historical records they relate to.
This is a meaningful mission: to empower families to preserve, in local history, the memories of their loved ones and ancestors, through immortalizing the last remaining photos, documents, and stories that color their lives. To date, over 1.5 billion pieces of “user contributed content” have been preserved on Ancestry, and we feel this is just the beginning. In this role you’ll explore user problems, apply cutting edge AI-backed technologies, and build delightful experiences - aiming to enable people to digitize (DIY or white glove), to enhance (fixing old photos, transcribing documents, etc), and to preserve for the next generation.
You will join a scrappy, passionate team of PMs, designers, engineers, data scientists, and user researchers as you champion the needs of our users, forwarding our user-generated-content experiences.
