Ancestry.com Operations Inc. seeks Sr. Product Analyst in Draper, UT 

Job Duties: Participate in product planning, new product design, execution, review, and continuous product feature improvement. Run exploratory analyses, uncover new areas of opportunity, generate hypotheses, and quickly assess the potential upside of a given opportunity, by leveraging both quantitative and qualitative customer satisfaction survey data. Implement and analyze A/B or multi-variate tests to measure the impact of product decisions and changes. Collaborate with business partners to identify critical business problems/key knowledge and translate them into technical analyses and deliver actionable insights. Create dashboards, reports, and analyses that explain what happened and why. Identify and understand various data sources; build tools and services to improve analysis and experimentation throughput, and work with Data Warehouse team to make online and offline data cross platforms available. Work with product management team to analyze and decipher insights to understand user product engagement (what and why) by leveraging both quantitative and qualitative customer satisfaction survey data. Full-time telecommuting permitted from anywhere within the U.S.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Statistics, Operation Research, Applied Mathematics, Engineering Science, Computer Science, or a closely related field plus 4 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Statistics, Operation Research, Applied Mathematics, Engineering Science, Computer Science, or a closely related field plus 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Special Skill Requirements: 

  1. Experience using SQL, Python, and Tableau to extract and visualize data (4 years)
  2. Experience with analyzing exploratory data to identify targeted segments to design and test experiments for business outcomes (4 years)
  3. Experience with statistical methodologies including correlation, regression, and clustering to find patterns and relationships among key indicator variables (4 years)
  4. Experience with preparing scorecards, dashboards, and data visualizations to monitor and track performance of implemented strategies (4 years)
  5. Experience with driving strategy enhancement and optimization to identify improvement opportunity, form a hypothesis, and design and implement tests (4 years)
  6. Experience with data gathering, analysis, ongoing scaled deliverables and presentations to collaborate with cross-functional partners to understand their business needs, formulate and complete end-to-end analysis (4 years)
  7. Experience with creating visual displays of quantitative information to deliver effective presentations of findings and recommendations to multiple levels of leadership. (4 years)
