Drive the product strategy, vision, and roadmap for Ancestry's new International Platform to dramatically accelerate our expansion into new markets.
Translate the company's global growth strategy into a clear product backlog, detailed requirements, and end-to-end user stories for new country and language launches.
Act as the tireless advocate for international users, owning all internationalization (i18n) requirements, defining new standards, and ensuring a seamless, culturally relevant experience across all features.
Partner closely with cross-functional teams—including engineering, marketing, legal, privacy, and commerce—to align on priorities and ensure successful, compliant country launches.
Lead the design and automation of our localization (l10n) workflows, integrating new tools, LLMs, and AI capabilities to scale Ancestry's language support efficiently.
Support day-to-day localization operations and analyze areas of improvement and automation.
Define, analyze, and own the key performance indicators (KPIs) and usage metrics for international markets, using data to guide the platform's continuous improvement.
Who you are…
An experienced Product Manager with 5+ years of experience in product or a related role, preferably on a platform or technical product team.
A subject matter expert in internationalization (i18n) and localization (l10n) best practices, with a deep understanding of the technical and user experience challenges of global products.
Proven ability to translate complex business, legal, and privacy requirements into actionable product requirements and user stories.
Hands-on experience with localization workflows, translation management systems (TMS), and content repositories (e.g., GitHub, AEM, Salesforce).
Technical proficiency to read and understand various code and file types (e.g., HTML, JSON, XML, XLIFF) and collaborate effectively with developers on implementation and bug fixes.
A strategic thinker who stays current with industry-standard localization tools, LLMs, and AI capabilities, with a passion for driving automation and process improvement.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and align teams across the organization.
A strong communicator and collaborator who excels at aligning cross-functional partners and executives.
A passionate advocate for customers, with a history of delivering delightful, emotionally resonant product experiences.

As a signatory of the ParityPledge in Support of Women and the ParityPledge in Support of People of Color, Ancestry values pay transparency and pay equity. We are pleased to share the base salary range for this position: $128,880 - $161,100 with eligibility for bonus, equity and comprehensive benefits including health, dental and vision.
